Ingredients

  • 1 cup boiling water
  • ½ cup cold water
  • ½ cup vodka or rum, tequila, or non-alcoholic substitute
  • 1 tbsp simple syrup optional, for extra sweetness
  • Fresh fruit or sprinkles optional, for garnish

Method
 

  1. Dissolve gelatin: In a heat-safe bowl, pour boiling water over gelatin powder. Stir for 2 minutes until fully dissolved.
  2. Add liquids: Mix in cold water and vodka (or chosen substitute). Stir well.
  3. Pour into cups: Pour mixture into 2 oz plastic shot cups, filling each 3/4 full.
  4. Chill: Refrigerate for 2-4 hours until firm.
  5. Serve: Garnish with fruit or sprinkles if desired, and serve chilled.

  • Storage: Refrigerate covered jello shots for up to 7-10 days.
