- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- ¾ cup unsalted butter softened
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg + 1 egg yolk
- 1 tbsp milk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup M&M candies
- ½ cup chocolate chips optional
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking trays with parchment paper.
Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt together in a bowl.
Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
Mix in egg, egg yolk, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients.
Fold in M&M candies and chocolate chips.
Scoop dough balls onto baking tray, spacing apart.
Bake 9–11 minutes until edges set and centers stay soft.
Cool on tray for 5 minutes before transferring to rack.
- Chill the dough 30 minutes for thicker cookies, and add extra M&Ms on top before baking for a bakery-style appearance.
